I want to try out old Kasan 3dmax shutterglasses. first, i used it with combination with an s3 virge dx 4mb card. i could run 3dbios and some kasan dos applications fine, but always with 16 distorted colors instead of true 256 (in kasan applications only) and the main program wouldn't let me install at all. the glasses themselves worked fine, however, when viewing pictures in external applications, even Quake worked. I then switched to an older s3 trio64v2 card - this time the main application would let me install everything fine, but the colors in kasan applications were distorted, again, like if i were trying to play some vga game on an ega graphics card. i've found out something about a patch for 3dmax, but couldn't find its actual downloadable location... and 1 more thing: when running 3dbios, it reports using an S3 Vision864 card... i'd really like to have the right colours in kasan applications... can someone help? |
