I have a laptop with which I use a Z800. I bought this laptop on November 2005 and I never updated DirectX 9.0c since. The stereo drivers I have on this laptop are v78.01. Now, if I install the latest DirectX 9.0c update and I don't update the stereo drivers, will I risk stereoscopy not to work anymore? (Message edited by Devil Master on April 19, 2007) |

The DirectX 9.0 drivers are not the issue. It is the nvidia graphic drivers that need to be compatible. So if you have stereo drivers v78.01, then you need the graphic drivers v78.01, although any version of Dx9 should be compatible. You cannot use Dx10 because those are only supported by the newest nvidia drivers (and I don't believe the stereo drivers that go along with those are out yet). So updating Dx9 shouldn't effect stereo capabilities as long as you keep the same nvidia drivers. // cybereality |

Well, thanks. I updated the DirectX and everything was fine. I was worrying for nothing. |
