I recently installed Test Drive Unlimited with the intention of playing it in stereoscopy. However, all I get is a flat image of the game world, with the map and the speedometer floating a little over the flat game world. More specifically, this is what I get: http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/5326/tduwi5.jpg Also note that, despite the fact I never activated antialiasing, a blur effect is applied on the whole game world (you can see it where the trees are in front of the sky, it can be easily distinguished from JPG compression artifacts). Is there any way to get rid of that filtering effect that treats the rendered game world as a 2D entity, thus making it impossible to have proper stereoscopy? |

This is a major issue with many modern games that use post-processing techniques. Most (if not all) of the current techniques treat the full screen as a 2d image when doing these type of effects (bloom, blur, etc.) and they totally ruin the stereo 3d fidelity. Some games do give the option to shut these off. It would usually be under the graphics/effects menu. Things like AA, blur, bloom/glow, or any post-processing should be set to off. I don't have Test Drive, so I can't tell you if this game will work or not. Another option is looking for command line flags you can set when you run a game. For example, you might be able to run the game with a command like this: "game.exe -noblur". Not all games have these, but many do (for testing purposes). If you can find them, you may be able disable graphic settings not available in the options menu. |

I already read that topic and tried that program, but it doesn't work for me (I have a 6200). If I activate "enable stereo render target" the game just starts running incredibly slow (less than 1 fps), the light effects on the car get all screwed up (like a rainbow on the car), and I get no stereoscopy at all (just a flat image). I tried to look through the various .ini files to find the parameters I need to change, but there are lots and lots of parameters: I don't know which ones I must change nor what values I must insert.
