In some ways this is sort of absurd, but I'm trying to use the z800 with the CAVElib on Linux. Specifically all I really need to know is if the stereoscopy can be enabled, using a QuadroFX card. Usually I use the cavelib with passive stereo projection. There should be a config option in there somewhere to set the stereo mode to use frame sequential or field sequential, right? I'm not concerned about the head tracking IN the emagin, because I have a Flock... which maybe makes the emagin sort of silly and redundant, but that's another question. thanks, -ben |

Answering my own question: yes, it's easy. in xorg.conf, set the stereo mode to "1" (DDC page-flipped) instead of "4" (twinview cloned). in the CAVE configuration, create two small walls as "hmd" instead of "wall." measurements are relative to each eye, so usually are the same for both left and right. |
