I'm new to this. I was wondering why every set-up I've seen uses a front projector display. Couldn't you get the same result with a Large RPTV or Plasma? | ||

Plasma is usually bad for use with shutterglasses because ob low refresh rate, sync-issues, ghosting, image-processing-issues. For rear projection TV's it depends on the technology used. Some new Samsung RPTV's have a stereo3d-mode. You're on the save side there. Other's may not work. One problem with TV's in general is that they're not designed with 3D in mind. With todays digtial treatment of the input signal the stereo-information and/or sync is destroyed. Christoph | ||
