Hi! I will need a HD-camcorder with the following properties: # a video camcorder with a standard filter thread (the "native" filter thread of the Nu-View is 37 mm, ask for an adapter-ring if required) # the filter thread of the cam shouldn't be a moving part (there are some older cameras where lens and filter-thread rotate while focusing) # the autofocus system of the camera should work through the lens, external IR-sensors may be blocked by the Nu-View adapter # the camcorder is required to have a composite video-out jack which is active during recording # the camcorder must be able to record in standard interlace format NTSC, PAL or Secam # progressive-scan on the camcorder must be disabled Sony HDR-HC1 probably works but it seems to be way too expensive for my budget. Is there a HD-camera that uses the same recording format as HDR-HC1 and has all the properties I listed above with a price tag of under $500? It's extremely important that the camera has a composite (yellow) video-out jack which is active during recording. The camera must also support interlacing recording. I'll need to put a 37 mm NuView adapter to it so the camera must also support this. A good image and sound quality is also a good thing. PS. The camera probably shouldn't use MPEG-4. According to http://stereo3d.com/stereocam.htm: "The camcorders get smaller and lighter. Some even don't have a filter mount anymore. There will be digital camcorders which use progressive scan and compression technologies such as MPEG4 which destroy the 3D-information." Thank you! |
