Hello, The new version 0.9.5 of Stereoscopic Player is available at http://www.3dtv.at. New in this release: 1) Stereoscopic Player allows you to open separate left and right and optinally a separate audio file. This feature is necessary if you want to play high definition content on dual core systems. Separate files require separate decoders for left and right stream, each running on its own processor core. Using two decoders is the only way to efficiently use a dual core system. There is a 1080p sample files available on the 3dtv.at website. 2) Another exciting new feature is software pageflipping. Now, Stereoscopic Player can be used together with shutterglasses in pageflipping mode on ATI and Intel graphics adapters without the need for any stereo drivers. On our systems, software pageflipping works stable for resolutions up to 720p. 3) For OEM customers, we have developed a tool to customize Stereoscopic Player. It allows to change title, splash screen, features and so on. 4) Lots of bug fixes. For example, switching to fullscreen mode should not deadlock anymore. Peter |

Hardware requirements for 720p @ 60fps are probably as high as for 2 x 1080p. Have not tested it, but there's no reason why it should not work. Software pageflipping might be problematic, however. |
