Now that Sensio will be releasing some Universal 3-D films from the 1950's, I'm thinking of buying the system. But, I have a Sanyo PLV-Z4 720p front projector and I don't know if it will work. Thanks, Roland (Message edited by cinerama on April 12, 2007) |

if you're going to invest that kind of money into this system because of the Univesal films releases of 1950s/1980s, I would wait until you actually see them on the market...they were supposed to start releasing these in January, and it hasn't happened. I am guessing it won't happen at all, but I am cynnical that way |

So far virtually all of the 3-D DVDs that have been released in the Sensio format have simultaneously been released in the standard field-sequential (interlaced) format. This will very likely also be true of the Universal 3-D movies, IF they ever reach the market -- so you won't need a $3,000 Sensio processor to watch them on television. BTW, I agree with 3d-geek: You shouldn't hold your breath waiting for Sensio to release these movies. |

I contacted Sensio last month about when they will be releasing the Universal titles. They said two of them would be released in the fall 2007. |

This was posted under the 'Speaking of Sensio' post: ------------------------ Hi, in january 07 I wrote an email to sensio asking when the selling of the announced 3d-classics will start. here's the answer: "Wed. Jan. 16, 2007 Hello, Thank you for your interest in Sensio Technologies. Our 5 Universal Studios Classics (Creature from the Black Lagoon, It Came from Outer Space, Jaws 3D, Revenge of the Creature and Taza, Son of Cochise), will be released in SENSIO 3D DVD within the first 6 months of 2007, with Jaws 3D being the first one to be released. The re-mastering of the Universal Classics is taking somewhat longer than anticipated due to the poor quality of the original film elements. As I’m sure you will understand, a lot of these old films are not necessarily in good condition and require a tremendous amount of work, money and time to restore and re-master. But we will release them sooner than later. I hope this answers your questions."</i> ------ Seems to me they are now switching FROM sooner TO later.... "The re-mastering of the Universal Classics is taking somewhat longer than anticipated due to the poor quality of the original film elements." Anyone besides me have a hard time believing Universal didn't preserve Jaws 3D properly? |
