Hi, I was wondering about all the movies that make it to the IMAX in 3D, but then are never released in 3D DVD. Movies like Nightmare Before Christmas, Polar Express, Space Station 3D, Superman Returns, Meet the Robinsons, and the upcoming Harry Potter. Then there have been features like "Honey we shrunk the audience" that have never been released at all? I would think that there has to be SOME WAY to obtain these movies whether legitimate or not, it seems like if nothing else, someone who had access to the original film reels might copy them on DVD and sell them. Is there ANY WAY to find these movies in 3D? (preferably HQFS, but even anaglyph is better than nothing) Dann |

Not yet, but I don't think we'll have too long to wait. ;) (Been working on this a long time, just a couple more years...) |

Scott, A couple more years? Does this have anything to do with the new Samsung DLP rear projectors that talk about 3-D port and glasses? |

No, has to do with consumer digital 3d cameras, and DVD/HDDVD/BD players, and more. All transparently and automatically backwards compatible with 2d viewing/equipment. (Although, they shouldn't have any problem interfacing with such devices, most devices even) I'm moving in ~3 weeks, so my patent applications have been put on hold. I say "years" because of patent approval timelag, licensing timelag, and manufacturing timelag. But it'll be worth it... |
