Is it at all possible to convert a Sensio Disc to the Field Sequential format? If so, how? |

[[See Videohelp.com for info on many of these steps--though not stereospecific ones]] Rip the disc in the usual ways. Demux/Decode to AVI (lossless codec is probably best for an intermediate here). Open in StereoMovieMaker (it'll should be squeezed, side-by-side on the Sensio disc) and convert and save to field sequential AVI. (If this doesn't work the exact way you want, you can always use tools like Virtualdub, AVISynth, AfterEffects--with some scripting/plugins) Encode back to MPEG2 (using parameters that are similar to original MPEG2). Author and burn to DVD. ***Note***: You're start out with something that is 1/2 quality/info in the horizontal dimension, and stretching (interpolating) and then losing 1/2 quality/info in the vertical domain (and time domain, assuming it's interlaced). That's alot of quality loss! May not be acceptable to you in the end. This should get you started, ask more if you really need details. HTH, Scott |
