Use older DVD player(from H&B, cheap china product)with VGA output. In this output is inserted Passthrough VGA adapter (synchronising the change of shutterglasses per vertical synchronisation signal of VGA).From adapter the signal get to Benq PB6240 projector (VGA input, 576x? 49 Hz) and this works for "pulfrich pseudostereo" /in the eyes comes 2 diff L/R (first and second frame) frames. Result: depth feeling (when the camera is moving), second (no bad secondary efect) - subjective cca 50% better resolution. This works with DVD and with Divx movies. Have tested with Planet Earth movie form BBC and this is awesome. Only little flicker in bright parts. Wery good are the interlaced mode DVDs (Aliens adventure, Ultimate 3D).Thi setup is very simple and rel.cheap. (Message edited by Hornet on October 31, 2007) |

Update I think it is possible use of shutterglasses with Blu ray player. The possible scenario: Blu ray player - HD FURY HDMI TO VGA CONVERTER - shutterglasses pass through VGA dongle - VGA input of DLP projector (XGA). It is not absolutly ideal, or better than DVD. |
