Greetings. I am posting this mainly to have something else to show up in Google. I am a long-time NuView user and have done many hours of 3-D video at Disneyland and other places. I convert them to red/blue anaglyph using PC StereoMovie Maker or Final Cut Express on the Mac. When I bought my Sony HDR-HC1 (a great camcorder discontinued about 7 months after its release), I tested the NuView (after seeing posts that it would work) but had no success in making it record on the HD camera. I'd like to talk to folks and see if anyone else has figured out any workarounds to get it going. The issue seems to be the delay in converting the HD to composite output. Anyone else out there trying to do this? I've retained my 1999 vintage Sony Digital8 just for 3-D work, but it's slowly dying on me. |

For those interested, the Stereocam by U-Bin, which wasn't commonly (if at all) available in the US a few years ago, now seems to be popping up everywhere. Here's one place with the kit: http://www.ultimate3dheaven.com/ Since NuView is gone, the Stereocam may be a suitable replacement. |
