Hi, I have dowloaded the trial version of stereoscopic player form 3dtv.at and I have a Edimensionnal set up. I don't know how to use my glasses with Stereoscopic Palyer. When I start a video it displays it as anaglyphe. I have tried to set 'Driver Nvidia Stereo' but my computer crashes! However I can't play games in stereo without any problem. Could you help me? |

It should work by using the NVIDIA stereo driver. Of course this requires a NVIDIA card. The stereo driver is a separate download in on the NVIDIA website. Make sure you download the same version of the graphics and stereo driver, else it will not work. Enable the stereo driver in the driver settings dialog (in the classic panel, not the new NVIDIA control center) and run the medial test image. In the Stereoscopic Player, click View->Viewing Method->NVIDIA Stereo Driver. If you do not have a NVIDIA card or it is not supported by the stereo driver yet or if you use Vista, there is an alternative: software pageflipping. Select View->Viewing Method->Software Pageflipping in the Stereoscopic Player. Please note that software pageglipping does not work as reliable as the driver/hardware-based pageflipping. If it does not work stable, try to lower the resolution, play a lower-res video or lower the refresh rate. Also note that the proprietary eDimensional driver breaks DirectX, including DirectX-based viewing methods in the Stereoscopic Player. You should only enable the eDimensional driver when you play games in 3D but disable when doing anything else. |

To my knowledge, Shrek is not available in true 3D at all. There is only an anaglyph version, which cannot be converted to other stereo formats because anaglyphs do not provide full color information for both the left and right eye. There have been attempts to restore the left and right eye from the anaglpyh and the 2D version. If you want to play such a version, please tell me how it has been encoded. Is it a DVD or a single/two file(s)? When playing it back in a 2D video player, are the left/right view arranged side-by-side, over/under or interlaced? |

There are three editions of Spy Kids 3D available: 1) Anaglyph edition 2) Interlaced edition 3) Sensio edition 2) and 3) are suited for the Stereoscopic Player, 1) can only be watched with red-cyan anaglpyh glasses. |

Peter: There was a pirated interlaced 3-D version of Shrek 3D being sold on eBay a year or so ago, created through a conversion of the commercial anaglyph/2-D commercial DVD. The resulting display quality was predictably terrible, and the audio track was also poorly synchronized. This interlaced version can be viewed stereoscopically on your player -- but I don't recommend it to anyone. |

OK I think I am starting to see some light!! anyHow the Shrek 3D version I have is an Officail release as it is just a 13 minute short done in 3D. I also Bought it at Best Buy!! So I need to get the Interlaced version or the Sensio version for the ED Glasses. |

Jerry: There is NO Sensio version of "Shrek 3D" and probably never will be. The movie rights are owned by DreamWorks Animation, which has never licensed films to Cyberworld for Sensio release. ("Spykids 3D" and "Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3D" are owned by Dimension Films, a completely different production studio.) DreamWorks has also never shown any interest in releasing any of its DVDs in interlaced stereoscopic format. The ONLY interlaced stereoscopic version of "Shrek 3D" is the very low quality pirated conversion-from-anaglyph that I mentioned in my earlier post. Take my word for it -- even if you can still find this terribly done version on eBay, it isn't worth the postage to have it delivered. |

I never said it was a Sensio release I dont even know what that means?? hehe!! This is a 13 minute movie adventure from between the 1st and 2nd films. It is an Officailly released version in Anaglyph 3-D?? But AnyHow I would like to know what versions I need to play on the StereoScopic Player and my EDimensional 3D Glasses and Projector?? Also where I can get these DVD's From Online??? I checked Amazon but they did not specify if it was a Sensio or the other format that I need ti view with my setup?? well I have been doing alot of reading on the net and I found this list on Amazon they state they are field seqauential is that what I need to view on my setup?? : http://www.amazon.com/gp/richpub/syltguides/fullview/136T3WJ79IKO4/ref=cm_bg_dp_l_3#list (Message edited by Nephilim on April 26, 2008) |

Jerry: All the DVDs which are listed on that Amazon list under the heading "3D Movies available on DVD/VHS in field-sequential 3D format" can be viewed in 3-D with your setup (Peter Wimmer's Stereoscopic Player and your EDimensional shutter glasses). None of the DVDs listed under "...in anaglyph 3D format" can be viewed using the shutter glasses. Notice that the only listing for "Shrek 3D" is in this anaglyph category. Bottom line: 1. There is NO commercial 3-D DVD version of "Shrek 3D" available anywhere that you can view with your EDimensional glasses. Period. 2. If you want to watch a 3-D DVD with Wimmer's Player and the shutter glasses, buy one of the movies from the first list -- and make certain that the version you buy is specifically described as "field sequential 3D." |

Upon even Further Google investigating I found that StereoScopic Player works as long as you have a Compatible Projector, Here is the List of Compatible Projectors, by Andrew Woods "THNX": http://www.3dmovielist.com/projectors.html You also need a set of shutter glasses like the Edimensional ones as that is what I am going to use. Plus with the Stereoscopic Player that Program gives you a Ton of ways to watch 3D, I am going to use the nVidia Stereo Drivers under Preferred viewing methods but there are alot of other methods to choose from. I am also using a Sort of Retro computer with a 3.8GHZ HT CPU nVidia Geforce 7950GT OC, with a Audigy 2 ZS sound card for my 3D setup Oh and a Sharp XR10X-L. There has been alot of NOT so good reviews of this Projector but I find it works fine for me and my Setup and at 75Hz with no flicker at least I dont see it ;). Which I use for 3D gaming on a 45" screen Very immersive. I plan on trying the StereoScopic and 3D Gaming with a Acer PH530 Projector to see if that works. This is the Projectoer in my Home Theater. Stay Tuned. Just would like for more 3D Movies to be released. they are already in 3d we just need someone to release them in the 3D Format. here is the list of movies and such in 3D: http://www.3dmovielist.com/list.html but this will be in another thread. |
