Anyone else notice a headache-inducing error in the 3D Blu-Ray Cats & Dogs? At about the 35 minute mark, the characters enter an elderly woman's home. At that point, the video streams go wacky and make your eyeballs feel like they are being sucked on by a vacuum cleaner hose! Upon further investigation, it appears that they used two identical streams during this segment. In other words, it's not 3D at all. But even worse, the two streams have differing zoom levels! Gah! LUCKILY, this only last for a few minutes! Check out a screen cap: http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w281/pinballguy/catsdogsLEFTRIGHT.jpg As you can see, the video on the right has a closer zoom than the one on the left (look at the cat's paw and/or the top of the woman's head in relation to the frame boundary to see the difference between the two streams). As you can also see, there are no parallax differences between the two streams when you compare the foreground objects to the background objects in both streams. In other words, each eye is getting the same viewpoint. (Message edited by rrrrob on November 25, 2010) |

Hmmm, wow that shouldn't happen on a commercial release. Did you try on another player? |
