Hi guys, just to let you know that after 10 months hard work, I've finally completed a 3D conversion of Carnival of Souls. It's been a mammoth task and I'm very proud of the results. At times, the movie looks almost like native 3D and there are several "wow" moments of 3D depth. It's certainly better than some of the recent 2D to 3D conversions that we've been subjected to recently. At least I can boast that mine has decent 3D depth throughout the entire movie.
To do the conversion I created nearly 500 animated depth maps and then converted the movie, frame by frame with 3D conversion software.

I'm currently in the process of uploading the movie to my Digital Vault and setting up a PayPal payment option. I may also do a data disc, anaglyph and possibly streaming version at a later date.

That's great! Congrats :-)

What about a horizontally compressed side-by-side-version on DVD? That would make it playable on most new 3DTVs with only a regular DVD- or bluray-player!

If you say so Geir.

TBH, After 10 months of converting the film, I'm not really in the mood to start converting it to yet another format. I'm just really glad it's finished and I just need to get people to start buying some copies. If they need to convert it for their TVs themselves...well, that's up to them really.
