Can it be used independently with a mouse? Can I keep the mouse cursor moving indepentenly and still use TrackIR at the same time?

Also, can I use 3 reflective dots instead of that Vector/baseball cap thing?

Stereoviewer. I have TrackIR+Vector expansion.
TrackIR is not a mouse emulation hardware. It is a new system that is enabled only if the game support TrackIR (most new aircraft simulators support TrackIR).

Then, if you use TrackIR into a game, you control the mouse normally, but you have extra movement options using your head. The mouse cursor is totally different than the TrackIR movement.

Vector expansion is a 3dots clip to support 6DOF movements, but you need to buy this expansion to obtain the key to enable the driver support. If you don´t buy the vector, you have only 1dot and 2DOF movements.

2DOF is supported by too many simulators games, but 6DOF is supported by only a few in our days (FS2004 is one of them).

I´ve not Z800 to compare the smooth, but Z800 is a different system, Z800 uses mouse emulation.

Whats the distance the trackIR needs to be away from your head? Whats the USB cable length, can the cable be real long? Im woundering if I could add this to the VFX helmet in some way and have it hang off. Uhm I might try!!
