I have two. Its funny and adds "shock" to the experience. If you can find it cheap, its worth a look. The drawback perhaps is that if you play sitted in a chair, for example, the packet in your back is quite thin but its still there, so is possible you can end finding it unconfortable. (its not my case because i play stand up) If this happens to you, you always can extract the aura transducer opening the plastic case and attaching it to the chair or floor or... where you are playing. |

So TigerClaw, aside from the noisy power supply do you think the vest along with a pair of Z800's makes for better gaming then the Z800 alone ? Also have you seen or used these (http://www.edimensional.com/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=30 ) Wonder if they would go good with the Z800. |

I have tested it only for a very short period of time. In any case As I say above I think it add a good "game feedback" but it has some problems. First you feel not only your character in the game (or your car or your airplane ecc) but all sound that normally will be go to the subwoofer. So, sometimes, you feel on your back vibrations which normally, in the reality, you don't feel. Another doubt I have is if all that vibrations on the back can be bad for myself. In any case you can set the power from "I can't feel nothing" to "I can feel my teeths vibrate (really!)". So this can be a no problem. Another problem you have to take into account is that the backpack is noisy because it reproduce partially the game sounds. So that are the problems. But for my little (for now) experience driving in Live For Speed with the aura interactor is very funny, you can feel the engine, the gear changing ecc ecc. If you drive alone to minimize the sound problem I have write about some lines ago you feel the car, I think it's the max you can achieve without a complete force feedback cabinet which cost at minum > 6000$. You can also disassemble the unit to integrate it inside you chair |

sorry, TygerClaw, i didn't see you message. My power supplies make a buzzzzzzz but it is not "VERY noisy" in my opinion. I have two on at the same time and i cant hear Because the computer sounds louder. My finding are the same, some sounds are reproduced by the vest that are not "here", like music and others. I readed somewhere in the net that aura wanted game programers to make a driver for the vest (to get the vest reproducing the "feeling" of the game) but it never get a reality. So it only get sounds usually reproduced by a subwofer (all of them but you can with the filter set the cut level) converted to vibrations. My english gets worse day by day.....i know |
