VHS and DVD for TV-shutterglasses
works on any standard VHS-VCR and standard TV-set, but requires shutterglasses with TV-controller.
It won't work on most 100/120 Hz digital TV-sets.
It doesn't work on any (!) LCD-projectors or LCD-display.
It works on some DLP projectors via the 50/60 Hz video input.
I don't know about D-ILA-projectors or Plasma-displays yet, but there will be problems for shure.
Most VHS for 3D-shutterglasses-videos are available in NTSC and PAL.

A good way to watch VHS or DVD for TV-shutterglasses is a HMD with frame-sequential-stereo video input, (i.e. i-glasses3D and the like) or on an ASUS Deluxe VGA-board with video-input and ASUS-3D-video-player (the player seems to be no longer present in newer driver releases though) .
3D-DVD's for shutterglasses can be watched on the PC under certain circumstances - click here.

Pulfrich
The artistic freedom in a Pulfrich production is very limited. The camera has to move horizontally all the time. It's impossible to convert a real 3D-movie into Pulfrich.
The Pulfrich format utilizes glasses with one dark and one light eye. It's mainly used for TV-productions.
