INTERACTIVE IMAGING SYSTEMS, INC. INTRODUCES NEW HEAD MOUNTED DISPLAY VFX3D
January 24th, 2000- Rochester, NY, Interactive Imaging Systems, Inc. (IIS) announced today the release of its newest Virtual Reality Interactive Personal Display, The VFX3D. The VFX3D is part of IIS’ “New Generation” high performance virtual reality peripherals.
The VFX3D can be used for a variety of applications including: Education, CAD systems, and video games.
The VFX3D displays stereoscopic images and is capable of running on either a desktop PC or a laptop. The VFX3D comes equipped with the IIS patented VOS 3DOF head tracking system, which has been completely redesigned to include solid state sensors on all three axis. It also has improved Universal Serial Bus interface for simple installation. The VFX3D has dual 360,000 pixel color displays and a fixed focus IPD optics engine for the highest fidelity solution in its price range.
Included with the VFX3D is the VFX Launcher program that allows users to easily access drivers for their favorite programs and games.
