March 03, 2000: Eiki demonstrates stereoscopic back-projection

The only piece of 3D-projection I could find at CeBIT was at the Eiki booth. They used back-projection and polarization glasses. The effect was quite good and the ghosting was acceptable. Even the brightness wasn't bad under the circumstances. They also showed a NuView camcorder-3D-add-on.

Unfortunately the specialist who was in charge of the 3D-stuff wasn't available and his colleagues knew nothing about it, so I don't know which projectors and splitters were used. At least it's nice to see that at least one projector-manufacturer cared about 3D. It was also good to see that polarization can be retained in a back-projection setup.
