This page is reserved for gfx-boards with on-board (!) glasses controller & connector
Apart from the boards in this chart there are many high-end graphics workstations which feature a miniDIN-3 stereo port as well. This includes workstations by SGI, SUN, DEC and HP.
Some workstations and hi-end graphics cards have an integrated sync-doubler for above-below image format. For an up-to-date list of professional stereo-ready graphics boards please also check the StereoGraphics site.

I assume all Kasan boards use interlace, while the others use page-flipping.
There are also lots of new boards with the same chipsets, but without 3D glasses connector. Some of them have the position of the connector already printed on the board but it's not equipped to save a few pennies (I'm not joking). Great! What gives a bigger competitive edge? Saving about 1 $ or stereo support? Some guys in the industry think that saving a buck is more important!!!
Hercules Thriller Warning:
I was told the VESA3-miniDIN-3 shutterglasses connector on the Hercules
Thriller 8MB vanished for a S-video-in port. The pins for the shutterglasses-control-signal
still seem to be on the board, so there might be a "do it yourself" solution.
(Thanks to Franz-Hubertus Beck, http://fhbeck.home.pages.de
)
These boards don't seem to have a 3D-glasses
connector, despite their similarities to the boards in the chart:
Look at this pic of the Jazz
Adrenaline Rush . The Stereo-3D and TV-Out ports are not equipped.
Hope that will change in the final retail version, but they are not mentioned
in the press release!
Another example is the Deltron RixVision Flash AT3D Rush.
I found this layout on the Deltron page. It shows a 3D Goggle port, but the port isn't mentioned in the specs of the Flash AT3D Rush. Another case of "Yippie, we saved 99 cents by omitting those useless glasses-port!" ???
O.K: there's another reason. The glasses port wasn't ready. The VESA organisation approved it in Oct. 97.
This brings up the next big question. Can a castrated board be salvaged by adding the missing part(s) using a humble soldering iron???
Until now no Voodoo Graphics add-in board with 3D-glasses port is announced. Even the next generation 6 MB Voodoo add-in boards like MiroHiScore or Canopus Pure 3D don't seem to have one. AFAIK the Voodoo Graphics 1&2 add-on board don't support hardware page-flipping.
On the Voodoo Rush boards the Aliance chip does the job. The image is created by the Aliance chip while the Voodoo delivers the data to it.
The successor to the Canopus
Total 3D the "Total 3D 128V"
(Riva chip) has NO 3D-GLASSES port. Now that other companies jump
on the bandwaggon this Stereo-3D-Board pioneer jumps off. What were they
thinking? Looooooooosers!
